Rest and recovery

So this one is inspired by a conversation I had with a couple of clients the other day.

Making sure you get rest and recovery time/days into your training program is important because this is the time that the body has time to adapt to the stress of exercise and the real training effect takes place. In fact its not just important it's essential.

Rest and recovery also allows the body to replenish energy stores and more importantly repair damaged tissues because of your training.

During your rest days of course I don't mean sit all day eating anything you like 😳 during your rest, eat well to help replenish your body, stay hydrated and move your body gently, stretching, yoga or a good long walk is good too.
